Bungarribee has a long horse-breeding history. Colonel John Campbell set up the estate in 1822 to breed horses for the East India Company, and after 1830 Charles Smith ran the Bungarribee stud, breeding English thoroughbreds. Several local streets are named after successful horses bred there.

The Bungarribee Homestead archaeological site was listed on the NSW State Heritage Register in 2000. Bungarribee Nature Reserve offers space for dog walking and casual recreation, the Western Sydney Parklands sit alongside the suburb, Sydney Zoo opened to the north-west in 2019, and Doonside station is about 500 m from the suburb's northern end.

Site checks for a food truck Bungarribee event

Every booking starts with three checks: level, stable ground; clear width and height for the truck on the way in; and one fixed parking position for the whole service. Bungarribee is a residential suburb, and most homes have a driveway or kerbside spot that suits the truck. Bungarribee Nature Reserve and the Western Sydney Parklands are managed land, so any food vehicle needs approval from the land manager first. For a house party, send a photo of the frontage and we will confirm the spot. A photo of the spot with your enquiry lets us confirm it quickly.

Menu and prices for Bungarribee events

The menu is short on purpose, so the line keeps moving and every item is made the same way each time. These are our current menu prices:

Menu itemPrice

Double Cheese Burger Taco$22
Freak Bowl$21
Loaded Tater Tots$20
Nachos (cheese, salsa and toppings)$19
Corn Ribs x6$12

Soft drinks can be added on the day. Taco fillings and Freak Bowl ingredients are confirmed at booking.

Per-head catering packages

  • Single main: from $23 per head, food only. The simplest option for a big crowd.
  • Mains and sides: about $28 per head, adding sides such as Loaded Tater Tots or corn ribs.
  • Full menu: $30 to $35 per head, so guests choose anything at the window.

As a guide, a single main suits a quick work lunch, while the full menu suits a party where guests come back for seconds. Travel to Bungarribee is shown as a separate line in your written quote.

Who books a food truck Bungarribee service

Bungarribee bookings come mostly from families celebrating birthdays and housewarmings, along with small workplaces and community groups nearby. Hosts like that nobody has to cook, set up a buffet or wash trays afterwards; guests simply walk up to the window when they are hungry.

Steps to book a food truck Bungarribee visit

  1. Send your date, start time, guest numbers and the Bungarribee address through the quote form.
  2. Tell us where the truck will park and who approves the site, and add a photo if you can.
  3. Choose a package: single main, mains and sides, or the full menu.
  4. Receive a clear written quote showing food, service time and any travel separately.
  5. Confirm, and we arrive, set up, serve and leave the site clean.

Food safety and approvals

Freak Eats operates as a mobile food business under the NSW Food Authority guidelines for mobile food vendors. Councils, schools and venue managers can set their own conditions for food vehicles, so tell us who manages your site and what paperwork they ask for. We will supply what they need before the day.

Dietary needs

Tell us about dietary needs when you enquire. Several items can be built without meat and typically suit vegetarian guests; confirm the details at booking. We do not claim vegan, halal or gluten-free certification, so please discuss any allergy needs with us directly before the event.

Planning checklist for a food truck Bungarribee booking

  • Confirm the date, start time and how long you want the service window open.
  • Count adult and child guests separately so we can suggest the right package.
  • Choose the parking spot and check it is level, with clear access and no low branches or overhead wires.
  • Get written approval from the venue, school or council if the event is not at a private home.
  • List any dietary needs or allergies among your guests.
  • Let neighbours know if the truck will park on the street for a few hours.
  • Decide whether you want soft drinks added to the order.

Send these details with your enquiry and your Bungarribee quote comes back complete, without a long back-and-forth.

Where is Freak Eats based?

Our kitchen base is at 3 Drury Pl, Hebersham NSW 2770, in the City of Blacktown. It is a kitchen, not a shopfront, so the truck comes to your Bungarribee address for private bookings and you never need to collect food or arrange delivery.

How much does food truck catering cost in Bungarribee?

From $23 per head for a single main, about $28 per head for mains and sides, and $30 to $35 per head for the full menu. Those figures are food only. Any travel to Bungarribee is shown as its own line in your written quote.

Can you set up in Bungarribee Nature Reserve or the Western Sydney Parklands?

Only with approval from the land manager, because these are managed reserves with their own rules for food vehicles and access. Once you have approval, send us the exact area and entry point, and we will confirm the truck can park safely and serve from there.

How much space does the truck need?

A level, stable hardstand, clear vehicle width and height on the way in, and one fixed parking position for the whole event. A driveway or wide kerbside spot usually works. Send a photo of the spot with your enquiry and we will confirm it suits.

Can I walk up and order in Bungarribee without a booking?

Only on our public trading dates at host venues, which are listed on our events page. Most weeks the truck is out at private bookings, so for a party, work day or fundraiser in Bungarribee the way to get Freak Eats is to book the truck.
