Freak Eats Australia

Footy finals, fed properly

Grand final party catering

You invited twenty-five people to watch the game, and somewhere in the second half you realise you have spent the afternoon turning sausages. A food truck fixes exactly that.

Why a truck suits a footy party

Nobody misses the game.

The truck parks in the driveway or on the street and does all the cooking outside. Guests duck out, order and are back on the couch before the next set of six.

Everything is handheld, so nobody needs a plate on their knee, and there is no pile of dishes waiting on Sunday night.

Timing

Getting service right on game day

01

Open before kick-off

Start service well before the game and run through the first half, so the queue clears before things get tight.

02

Feed the kids early

Children eat first and fastest. Small tots keep them happy.

03

One main per adult

That is the base, with sides across about half the group.

04

Think about the screen

Position the truck so the queue does not block the view.

FAQ

Grand final catering: questions, answered

When are the AFL and NRL grand finals?

The AFL Grand Final is traditionally the last Saturday in September, and the NRL Grand Final follows on the first Sunday in October. Check official fixtures to confirm dates.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as possible. Finals weekends in September and October are among the most contested dates outside December.

Do you provide screens, seating or shade?

No. We bring the kitchen, the crew and the food.

Do you serve alcohol?

No. Soft drinks are available from the truck.

How much space does the truck need?

A level, stable hardstand, clear vehicle width and height on the way in, and one fixed parking position for the whole event. Send a photo of the spot with your enquiry and we will confirm it suits.

How do I book the truck?

Send the date, guest count and address through the quote form, call 0477 417 629 or email freakeats1@gmail.com. You get a clear written quote before you commit.
